1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef, chicken, or turkey
1 cup red wine, optional
1 can (14 oz/ 398 ml) crushed tomatoes
1 can (14 oz/ 398 ml) diced tomatoes
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Crumble in meat, then grind Salt and Pepper overtop.
- Use a Ground Meat Separator to break up meat. Stir often until cooked through, 5 - 8 minutes.
- Pour in wine. Bring to a boil and stir often until most of the liquid is absorbed, 1 - 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and add Sauce Mix. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Partially cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 - 15 minutes to allow flavour to blend. Serve sauce over chunky noodles.
